Dylan Fagerland of Watertown has been selected as the Week 3 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Fagerland's passing performance for the record books gave Watertown a big win over Fort Atkinson. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 3. A total of 2,981 votes were cast, as Fagerland's 958 were enough to edge second place Parker Fermanich of New London, who tallied 883.

Watertown senior quarterback Dylan Fagerland threw for 3,550 yards and 35 touchdowns last season, and he's off to an even better start in 2017. In a 59-43 win over Fort Atkinson, Fagerland had a game for the record books, completing 34 of 46 passes for 573 yards and 8 touchdowns. The 8 passing scores ties the state record set by Xavier's Matt Ferris in 2013, while his yardage total is third all-time in state history. Fagerland is already over 1,000 passing yards on the season after just three games.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 4 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
