Here's some general information and frequently asked questions about the WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament. 

When is the tournament and when are the games? 
The tournament is held over three days, this Thursday through Saturday. Below is the schedule for the tournament:

*Note: Subsequent games of each session will begin approximately 15 minutes following the previous game.

Where is the state tournament held? 
All games of the Girls Basketball State Tournament are held at the Resch Center in Green Bay. Click here for a map of the Resch Center area. It is important to note the Spectator Guidelines in the Resch Center, as a number of items are prohibited. Further info on Spectator Guidelines can be found here.

Masks are not required at the Resch Center.

How much are tickets and where can I get them? Ticket price for the tourney is $11 per session when purchased at the Resch Center. Tickets for the tournament will be available for purchase online at the Ticket Star website:  https://www.ticketstaronline.com/events/detail/wiaa-girls-state-basketball. All-sessions, as well as individual session tickets, are available online for $11 plus fees per session. A link is also provided on the WIAA website at www.wiaawi.org or call Ticket Star at 1-800-895-0071.

Keep in mind that if you buy tickets from one of the schools you will be sitting with that school's section. If you purchase tickets online or at the Resch Center you will be sitting in the general seating area, not with a particular school.

GATE SECURITY PROCEDURES:  All spectators entering the Resch Center are subject to pass through metal detectors. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid missing the start of each session. Doors will open 60 minutes prior to the start of competition. Members of the media will enter the Resch Center through the door designated as the “Band Entrance” to the left of the front main entrance. Members of the media should anticipate and expect all bags to be checked upon entering the facility.

Where can I find coverage of the tournament? 
TV - The State Tournament will be televised live on WKOW-TV in Madison, WAOW-TV in Wausau, WXOW-TV in La Crosse, WQOW-TV in Eau Claire, WYOW-TV in Eagle River, WMOW-TV in Crandon, WMLW-TV in Milwaukee and WCWF W-14 in Green Bay and the Fox Valley. The Allen Media, Inc., will produce the coverage. The championships will also be streamed on the statewide network station websites. Also, download the Magic of March app for live streaming video, scores, highlights and more about the WIAA State basketball tournaments. Live coverage of the tournaments on iOS or Android phones and tablets are also available on the app.

WKOW will be streaming the games live on their website:  wkowtv.com 

In addition, post-game media conferences will be shown live on the WIAA.tv portal of the NFHS Network immediately following each game.

RADIO - Yes, there are many radio stations that will carry the games.  Check your local listings.

THREE-POINT CHALLENGE: The 3-Point Challenge resumes after being canceled in 2021 with  the COVID-19 pandemic accommodations. The event will be held prior to Saturday’s championship games beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Resch Center. A ticket for the Division 3, 4 and 5 championship games session is required for admittance into the event. The top two players per division were selected for the contest based on the best 3-point field goal percentage with a minimum of 75 attempts during the regular season. The contestants representing Division 1 are Kate Huml of Janesville Craig and Allie Ziebell of Neenah. Representing Division 2 are Julianna Ouimette of Lakeland and Emily Jaenke of Fox Valley Lutheran. The Division 3 participants are Lily Krahn of Prairie du Chien and Isabel Matzek of Prescott. Division 4 will be represented by Jacy Weisbrod of Aquinas and Lilly Griffith of St. Mary Catholic, and the Division 5 contestants Hailee Bauer of Lourdes Academy and Paige Hanner of Eleva-Strum. To watch the competition, register and subscribe to the NFHS Network. To purchase a subscription to the live programming for only $10.99 per month, log-on to www.wiaa.tv or www.nfhsnetwork.com and click on the subscription image in the middle of the page. Archived streams of the events will be available on demand on the NFHS Network 72 hours after the tournament without requirement of a subscription.

RUSH TO THE RESCH:  One school qualifying for the State Girls Basketball Tournament in each of the five divisions will receive $2000 from the Greater Green Bay Community by selling the most pre-sale tickets in their respective division.

TITLE IX 50TH ANNIVERSARY RECOGNITION: The WIAA launched a year-long celebration commemorating the 50th anniversary of Title IX legislation at the  first-ever State Girls Individual Wrestling Tournament in January. A complimentary commemorative program will be available at all State Tournaments throughout the year. Participants in all girls’ State Tournaments this year will receive a commemorative bag tag, and recognition of the campaign will be promoted on tournament signage, t-shirt giveaways, stories and facts on the WIAA website and social media platforms.

Where can I find information about the teams?

Where can I eat? 
The Resch Center has concessions, but many fans choose to venture out between games or sessions. There are numerous places to eat surrounding the Resch Center within walking or short driving distance.

Where can I park? 
There is considerable parking space across from the Resch Center at Lambeau Field. Parking is $7 per day and includes in-and-out privileges. For a detailed event parking map, click here.
