The Milwaukee Marshall Eagles have been selected as the Week 9 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team took down Milwaukee Vincent to claim the Milwaukee City Conference championship. The Eagles were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 9. A total of 16,089 votes were cast, as Marshall's 1,808 votes edged Mayville's 1,670 votes.

Milwaukee Marshall won the City Conference title with a 38-6 victory over Milwaukee Vincent in a season-ending crossover championship game. Quarterback Alijah Ortiz had a nice game for first year head coach Anthony Dowery, throwing for 280 yards and four touchdowns on just nine completions, hitting on big play after big play in the passing game. Marshall's defense held Vincent to just 3.2 yards per rush attempt and 33 passing yards on seven attempts.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 1 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
