East Troy's Rachel Atchison has been selected as the top senior Shooter as part of the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards

East Troy likes to the tempo and isn't afraid to shoot from downtown, and no one has done it more for them this season than Atchison.

She is averaging 16.6 points per game for the Trojans, doing the majority of her damage from 3-point land. She is one of the top sharpshooters in the state, connecting on 82 of 211 three-pointers while shooting 39%.

"She's one of the best three-point shooters I've ever coached," said head coach Jeff Brown during the state conference call. "She'll shoot it from anywhere. She gets in the gym and she thinks her range is there."

Finalists for the award were Atchison, Morgan Anderson of De Pere, Brianna Byrne of Notre Dame, Abbie Hein of Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran, and Maggie Novak, of Divine Savior Holy Angels.

Taylor Varsho of Marshfield won the award last season.
