Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll 

Division 1

Defending state champion Appleton North opens the season No. 1 in the WSN Coaches Poll. They open the season tonight at Oshkosh West. Milwaukee King, a state qualifier last season, comes in at No. 2. The Lady Generals defeated No. 4 Mukwonago, 61-59, on Friday. Oak Creek and Stevens Point are also ranked in the top five of the first coaches poll of the season. 

Division 2

Beaver Dam, the defending D2 state champs, open the season as the top-ranked team. The Golden Beavers are averaging 95 points per game through their first two games. Monroe is the No. 2 ranked team in the WSN Coaches Poll, on Saturday they defeated No. 4 New Berlin Eisenhower, 65-47, at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout. Seymour and Hortonville also earned a place in the top five of the coaches poll. 

Division 3

The first coaches poll of the season has Hayward leading the way in the voting that featured numerous teams receiving first place votes. Platteville, Amherst, Wrightstown and Dominican round out the top five. Last year's state champion Madison Edgewood checks in at No 8. 

Division 4

Aquinas, last year's D4 state runner-up, is the unanimous No. 1 in Division 4. Melrose-Mindoro has won its first two games of the season and open at No. 2 in the coaches poll. Durand, Cuba City, and Cameron round out the top five of the coaches poll. 

Division 5

Black Hawk leads the way in the Division 5 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. Clayton, who has won its first three games of the season, is No. 2 in the poll. Bangor, state qualifier last season, is No. 3, followed by Flambeau and Lourdes Academy in the top five.
