Sun Prairie's Nick Fuller has been selected as the top senior Wing player as part of the WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards.

The Cardinals had never won a Big Eight title since joining the league nearly 20 years ago, and hadn't claimed a league title of any kind since the late 70's. That changed this season however as Fuller helped Sun Prairie to a share of the Big Eight crown. Hitting big shot after big shot, he averaged 24.9 points per game on the year.

Fuller ended his career as the all-time leading scorer at not only Sun Prairie, but also the prestigious Big Eight Conference. During his four years on varsity, the Cardinals racked up an overall record of 72-27 as he played in 99 consecutive games.

A smooth left-handed shooter from the outside, Fuller was also adept at attacking the basket to convert buckets and get to the free throw line. He shot over 220 free throws as a senior, averaging nearly 10 attempts per contest as he converted at roughly an 80% clip.

Finalists for the award were Fuller, Turner Botz of Little Chute, Deonte Burton of Milwaukee Vincent, Jamaar McKay of Milwaukee Washington, and Tyler Semenas of Laconia.

Sam Dekker of Sheboygan Lutheran received the award last season.
